Coach Meza, former Hart High School player and assistant coach, was a part of three league championship teams as a player (’12, ’14, ’15) as well as two league championship teams as an assistant coach (’18, ’21). In 2015 Coach Meza was a part of a very talented Hart team that reached the CIF Div. 1 Championship. Meza also led the 2023 Valencia Vikings to their first league championship since 2019.
“I have had some great mentors and coaches in my journey to this point- I am thrilled to be returning as Hart High School’s Head Baseball Coach for the 2026 season,” said Coach Meza. “The 2025 campaign did not end the way we wanted it to but all of our players have been grinding for months and building an amazing ‘Team before self’ atmosphere on a daily basis- with the help of the coaching staff and our talented mix of under and upperclassmen, we are ready to make a push toward another league championship as well as an extended playoff run.”
Coach Meza played at Northern Arizona University for the Lumberjacks in the NCBA while attending his first two years of college and is now working toward a teaching credential through the University of LaVerne. He currently works in Special Education as an Instructional Assistant at Hart High School and runs the Empire Travel baseball group. Meza currently lives in Castaic with his wife Brooke.
