Coach Bob Keown epitomizes the concept of dedication and loyalty as the veteran assistant coach begins his 33rd season in the Hart dugout. Former Hart left-handed pitcher, Coach Keown has dedicated countless hours to coaching baseball,  beginning his career in 1978 at Saugus HS and ultimately returning to his alma mater in 1989. The 2015 Wall of Fame inductee has bestowed his passion for the game of baseball in decades of Hart baseball players.  

“Coach Keown’s fire and passion for Hart High School is inspiring. His endless passion to make players better has continued to be a lasting component of the Hart Baseball Program. Coach Kewon’s expectations of the players make all those who have played for him strive to be both better players and people,” said Coach Meza.  “It is an honor to have been coached by and coach alongside Coach Kewon.”

Coach Keown, a retired Hart School District Maintenance Field Supervisor, has fulfilled numerous coaching duties such as pitching coach, outfield coach, and bench coach.  Coach Keown and his wife Pam reside in Saugus.
