Bloom, a Junior right-handed pitcher, improves on the mound with each outing. Bloom displays an improving arsenal to attack hitters, and the key element is command of the zone. Bloom’s fastball location needs to work the outer spaces of the strike zone as his velocity develops, and an improved breaking ball and change-up combo will bring outs and easy ground balls. Bloom, one of the staff’s hardest workers, fields his position flawlessly and continued efforts in the weight room and on conditioning will bring additional opportunities to shine.
