Jefferis returns to the Hart lineup for his fourth year as the starting shortstop, and the senior Leadoff hitter should provide a consistent performance of highlights throughout the spring. Jefferis led the 2023 team in numerous offensive categories after hitting .345 and walking a team-high 17 times. Jefferis led the team in stolen bases, extra-base hits, and RBIs, and the coaching staff expects the best year of Jefferis’ Hart career. Defensively, Jefferis provides excellent defensive consistency with a slick glove and an outstanding throwing arm. Jefferis, the coaches believe, can accomplish a true 20-20-20 by scoring 20 runs, driving in 20 runs, and stealing 20 bases in his final year in “Red-and-Black.”
