Maymo, the owner of a three-pitch arsenal, controls the strike zone by pumping zeroes and changing speeds. Maymo, when on the mound, pitches with an edge and is neither fond of baserunners nor the opposition’s interest in scoring runs. Maymo’s increased strength improves his fastball velocity, which in turn, develops his other pitches into a sharper break or drop. Maymo strives to improve each skill when on the mound, including fielding his position, holding runners closer, and turning bunts into outs.
