Player Bio

Thompson, younger brother of graduated infielder Kyle, played football on the JV level Foothill League champion and now returns to the baseball field. Thompson, the starting shortstop on Coach Pieper’s F-S team last year, proved to be a defensive standout and an offensive spark plug in 2023. Thompson displayed the range and throwing prowess to play both middle infield positions, and Coach Ruiz hopes for similar results this spring. Thompson’s offensive game revolves around getting on base, stealing bases, and scoring runs. Thompson’s execution game and ability to bunt will help determine his on-base game, and his overall hitting will develop faster with added strength and conditioning.
