Player Bio

Hogen, a three-year varsity letterman this year, displayed the defensive skills last year to provide a highlight show, and the coaching staff expects Hogen to ramp up the footwork and throwing arm to become an even better defender. Hogen possesses one of the best-throwing arms in the program, and additional focus on his footwork will only improve his throwing arm into a cannon. Hogen’s offensive game improved dramatically in the fall/winter scrimmages and games with additional strength and a better bat path to contact. Hogen’s offense this fall displayed a developing power in his bat, and additional focus to his offensive skills can provide dangerous opposite-field power. Hogen’s star should shine brighter with additional personal hard work.
