Verdi, one of the most athletic players in the program, possesses the agility and speed to play the outfield and defend opponents’ gap shots. Verdi displays a strong throwing arm and continued work on accuracy makes his talents more valuable to the defense. Verdi’s improvement at the plate develops with being more on time at contact and an improved bat path to the ball. Verdi displays the ability to drive line drives into the gaps, and once on base, Verdi provides a base-stealing threat and a run-scoring asset.
