Purfoy, a left-handed pitcher, dropped his arm angle to the submarine style to add more movement and his stuff has dramatically improved since the change. Purfoy’s arsenal now includes his sinking and moving fastballs, along with a tight slider that resembles an upwards-moving cutter or slider. Purfoy’s athleticism allows him to field the come-backers to the mound, plus his stretch routine should deliver a tougher look for base-runners. Purfoy, alongside submarine right-handed Ian Edwards, provides the Indians with various pitching options.
